Human Resources Professional, Stoa Group

Friday, July 17, 2026 10:55 AM | Anonymous member (Administrator)

Hey HR Network!

I'm looking to connect with an HR professional who may be ready for the next step in their career.

At Stoa Group, we're less concerned with the title you've held and more interested in your experience, judgment, and potential. Whether you're currently an HR Specialist looking to broaden your experience or an HR Generalist looking for a new opportunity, we'd love to hear from you.

We're looking for someone who enjoys building relationships, solving problems, and supporting a positive employee experience while also understanding the needs of the business. The ideal person exercises sound judgment, communicates well, and can balance employee experience, compliance, and practical business needs.

This is an individual contributor role (not a management position) that supports employees throughout the employment lifecycle and works closely with our People Operations team to ensure consistent, compliant, and practical HR practices across the organization.

This is a full-time, in-office position based in our Hammond Support Office. Remote or hybrid work is not available for this role.

If this sounds like you, or if someone immediately comes to mind, please send resumes or referrals to cboudreaux@stoagroup.com.

I appreciate any recommendations!

Duties & Responsibilities

What You'll Own

We're not looking for someone to simply maintain processes. We're looking for someone who enjoys improving them.

Here's what you'll own:

Build trusted relationships with employees by serving as a go-to resource for guidance, support, and HR-related questions.

  • Help create an exceptional employee experience from a candidate's first conversation through their last day with the company.
  • Navigate employee relations matters with professionalism, empathy, sound judgment, and a solutions-focused mindset.
  • Support leave administration, accommodations, investigations, and other employee programs with accuracy, consistency, and care.
  • Keep our HRIS and employee records organized, accurate, and meaningful because good data drives good decisions.
  • Interpret employment laws, company policies, and HR best practices while balancing compliance with practical business solutions.
  • Look for opportunities to improve how we hire, onboard, communicate, and support our employees. If there's a better way, we want to hear it.
  • Partner with the People Operations team on projects that make our department (and our company) better.
  • Protect confidential information while earning the trust of employees and leaders through integrity, professionalism, and follow-through.
  • Roll up your sleeves and jump in where needed. We're a collaborative team, and no one is above helping wherever the business needs us most.

Minimum Qualifications

What We're Looking For

A solid foundation in Human Resources with approximately 5+ years of progressive HR experience. We care more about the depth and quality of your experience than the title you've held.

  • Working knowledge of federal and state employment laws, HR best practices, and the judgment to know when to ask questions or seek guidance.
  • Experience supporting employee relations, leave administration, investigations, onboarding, and HR compliance.
  • A relationship-builder who communicates with empathy, professionalism, and confidence at all levels of the organization.
  • Someone who is naturally curious, enjoys solving problems, and looks for opportunities to improve the employee experience and HR processes.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
  • High integrity and the ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
  • SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR certification is a plus, but not required.
