Gretchen McKinney's Bio
Gretchen McKinney is Owner and Chief People Strategist of incHRement, LLC, a human resource consulting firm that focuses on “putting human resources at the center of business agility”.
This centers on positioning HR to facilitate the adoption of agile principles and practices at any level in a business context. Ms. McKinney is an experienced business professional in training, recruitment, risk management, investigations and case management, and Louisiana employment law. She has successfully worked in for profit and not for profit organizations in government, retail, financial services and military settings. Today, she is leveraging her years of experience and expertise for her clients, helping them to develop and harness organizational agility to achieve the success critical to their business imperatives.
Prior to consulting, Ms. McKinney served in dual roles as the City of Mandeville's Civil Service Director and Human Resources Director from 2000 until 2017. Formerly, she worked with the US Navy Drug and Alcohol Programs Advisor (DAPA) as a facilitator of their Personal Responsibility and Values Training, she served in a variety of management roles for organizations such as Ford Motor Credit Financial company known as PRIMUS, Cygnet Financial, and Sam’s Club; and she worked in the legal domain for civil attorneys and a criminal court.
Gretchen McKinney holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Behavioral Psychology from Texas A & M University. She is a certified Human Resources Professional holding both SHRM-SCP and SPHR credentials. She has been a member of the Society for Human Resources Management (SHRM) for more than 20 years and the International Public Management Association for Human Resources (IPMA-HR). Ms. McKinney is Past President and Honorary Lifetime Member of the Northshore Society for Human Resource Management, and currently sits on the Board of Directors as the DEI Director. She has served the Louisiana Society for Human Resource Management Board of Directors since 2008 and was the State Council Director for Louisiana SHRM in 2013 and 2014. She is involved in DEI in the State of Louisiana and continues work on these efforts through the LASHRM DEI Summit organizing committee since its inception in 2015. She currently serves as a Coach and mentor to college students in the fellowship, Tenth Institute with, Career Immersion Leadership Institute.
Ms. McKinney was named to the St. Tammany Parish Government’s Economic Recovery and Resiliency Advisory Council after the start of the COVID 19 pandemic and facilitates the SHRM Learning System for individuals preparing to take the SHRM certification test.
